Currently commonly used mainly include CL11 polyester capacitors, CL21 metallized polyester film capacitors, CBB21/CBB22 metallized polypropylene film capacitors, CBB28/CBB81 high-voltage metallized polypropylene capacitors, X2 safety capacitors, etc.

CL11 polyester capacitor is the cheapest, but it is an inductive capacitor, suitable for use in occasions where the frequency is not high.

At present, most of CL21 has been replaced by CBB21/CBB22 capacitors, and the current usage is not too large.

CBB21, CBB28/CBB81 are non-inductive capacitors, suitable for use in higher frequency occasions.

X2 is a safety capacitor, which is made of metalized zinc-aluminum polypropylene film. Its anti-surge voltage capability is very strong, and it is generally used in input power filters.

Operating temperature of film capacitors:

Temperature is the most critical factor affecting the life of film capacitors. The operating temperature of ordinary film capacitors is -40℃~+85℃. The maximum temperature of some excellent film capacitor manufacturers in China is 105℃. When using, try not to overheat , The higher the temperature, the shorter the actual service life of the film capacitor. At the same time, it should be noted that the value of the rated voltage is only valid when the ambient temperature is less than or equal to 85°C, and it must be derated for use at higher temperatures.
