Steps for LED mirror cabinet installation
Installing an LED mirror cabinet is not complicated - but a few details can make the difference between a smooth installation and a messy one.
1.Check the wall type first
Is it tiled, drywall, or solid wall? Different walls require different anchors and screws. Using the wrong type can cause the cabinet to fall or damage the wall.
- Tile wall: Use a diamond drill bit and appropriate wall plugs.
- Drywall: Use hollow-wall anchors, not just screws.
- Solid wall: Use expansion bolts for a secure fit.
2. Plan the power connection before drilling
LED mirror cabinets need a power supply nearby. Make sure the cable can reach the outlet - or have a qualified electrician install a new one if needed. Don't assume the existing wiring is in the right place.
3. Level it twice, drill once
A slightly crooked cabinet shows immediately. Use a spirit level to align the cabinet before tightening the screws. Mark the holes clearly before you start drilling.
4. How to hang the cabinet properly
Most of our cabinets come with pre-installed hooks on the back - usually 3 or 4. After drilling the wall holes and inserting the screws, simply lift the cabinet and align the hooks with the screw heads. Gently lower it into place. The hooks are designed to sit securely, so the cabinet stays level and stable.
If you need to adjust the height slightly, you can turn the screws in or out before hanging. Small adjustments make a big difference.
5. Check the door Swing
If your cabinet has double doors, open them fully to make sure they don't hit nearby fixtures - towel racks, light switches, or shelves.
6. Leave room for maintenance
Make sure the cabinet can be removed easily if you need to access wiring or replace the driver later. Don't seal it permanently to the wall.
