On April 14, Liaoning Daily reported that according to the State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd., China's first 220kV high-voltage cable with home-made XLPE insulation and shielding material was successfully put into operation in Fuxin's 220kV new coal line, which is also the first time that the high-voltage cable with home-made insulation material has been put into operation in China.
According to the introduction, due to its simple structure, convenient manufacturing and installation, HVXLPE cable has become the key equipment for long-distance, large-capacity power transmission and flexible interconnection of large power grids. It is widely used in urban power grid transformation, cross-regional networking, offshore wind power access and other projects. The research and development of insulation materials for high-voltage cables started late in China. Previously, all insulation materials of 110 kV and above were imported.
For high voltage cable core technology breakthrough as soon as possible, under the national power grid co., LTD., organization, related units together to research and develop the simulation design, material, cable manufacturing, key technology research system matching, and key technical problems in developed the domestic high voltage cable insulation materials, developed with independent intellectual property rights of domestic cross-linked polyethylene insulation materials and cable system.
