The new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is expected to take full effect from August 2026, with enforcement likely to begin around that time. That's just over a year away -but we've already started preparing.
We recently reviewed our packaging materials for LED mirrors, including cartons, foam, plastic bags, and pallets. We're now working with our packaging suppliers to:
- Right‑size our cartons – reducing empty space and filler materials
- Simplify material composition – moving toward single‑material, easy‑to‑recycle packaging where possible
- Document packaging data – recording material types and weights for each model
This isn't just about compliance. It's about making sure our customers don't face unexpected delays or costs when the new rules take effect.
