The RAM team is equipped with advanced laboratory equipment and professional testing techniques, focusing on conducting precise and professional tests and evaluations of the key parameters and performance of LED lighting mirrors. Among numerous test items, total luminous flux is the core indicator for measuring the overall luminous performance of such products, and the integrating sphere is one of the core devices for completing this test.

The core principle of an integrating sphere is based on its high-reflectivity diffused inner wall (such as a barium sulfate coating). When a light source (such as an LED mirror) is placed inside a sphere, all the light it emits (including direct LED light and specular reflected light) will undergo countless random diffuse reflections within the sphere. This process thoroughly scatters and evenly mixes the originally complex light directions, ultimately making the illuminance at each point on the inner surface of the ball wall highly uniform. At this point, the illuminance value at this point is measured through a small detection window on the ball wall. Combined with parameters such as the size of the ball and the reflectivity of the coating, the total luminous flux (lumens, lm) emitted by the light source can be accurately calculated.

For products like LED mirrors, their specular reflection characteristics make the spatial distribution of light extremely uneven, and traditional methods make it difficult to accurately measure the total amount of light. The unique advantage of an integrating sphere lies in its ability to thoroughly mix light from all directions (eliminating specular reflection interference), and directly, accurately and efficiently capture and calculate the total luminous flux of the luminous body. Therefore, it is an indispensable key testing method for the RAM team's professional laboratory to evaluate the overall optical performance of LED mirrors.
